Voice over IP has changed the way we make long distance calls on fixed line networks, soon mobile networks will openly support Voice over IP and a range of other advanced services. Combined, these elements pave the way for the provision of advanced IMS services over next generation networks, facilitating innovation in the area of mobile applications that has previously been impossible.
